Introducing the Innovation and Research Centre

The Community and Oral Health Innovation and Research Centre is based at 19th Avenue, Brighton Health Campus and the team contributes to and facilitates excellence in health care by building the capacity of Community and Oral Health and its staff to create and apply contemporary knowledge and innovation to meet the needs of the community we serve.

Who are we?
We are a highly skilled interprofessional team with knowledge and experience in evidence-based practice, service development, knowledge translation and research. Our team includes the following roles;

  • Director Innovation and Research
  • Clinical Assets
  • Clinical Evidence Development
  • Librarian
  • Research Development
  • Research Director
  • Service Development
  • Service Improvement

What we do

  • Assist teams to get evidence into practice by supporting the identification, sourcing and translating relevant knowledge
  • Facilitate research through support, education and mentoring
  • Review Models of Care to identify opportunities for improvement, investment and disinvestment
  • Assist with the development of contemporary models of care
  • Support service redesign and implementation of better care practices
  • Assist and facilitate change management processes
  • Collaborate with staff, teams, directorates and NGOs to facilitate partnerships that collectively address shared challenges
  • Provide oversight and support to service improvement activities internally and externally funded including SEED and LINK
  • Capacity build future researchers, project / development officers and service improvement staff
